This 10,500m² of medical facilities was design and build by Canam in the record time of ten months.

The main structure consists of eccentrically braced structural steel frames, supporting reinforced concrete floors. The vertical elements are supported by drilled and cast in-situ reinforced concrete piles into the Waitemata series sandstone.

A large basement was constructed at sea-level with five medical floors above. The exterior is cladded with composite aluminium panels and glass in aluminium frames, its rectangular and circular forms presenting a challenge in vertical and horizontal alignments.

The facility includes a pharmacy, x-ray rooms, CT scanner, and radiology departments, executive health, sessional rooms, a laboratory and four operating theatres.
