Canam completed the repairs and reconstruction under a Lump Sum contract. The project involved re-framing, re-cladding and roofing remediation works to the five storey apartment tower block plus two levels of basement car parking.
Key features of the project include:
Units remained occupied throughout. Canam invested in a proprietary prefinished “sandwich panel” hoarding solution for improved acoustic and dust performance for occupants.
100% external framing replacement required.
Extensive construction of concrete nibs to address inadequate clearance issues at balcony decks. Complete reconstruction of the main roof including structural upgrades and re-pitching of the roof.
Re-clad in pre-finished / pre-coloured Etercolour sheeting which was installed by Canam direct labour.
Extensive remedial action required to primary steel frame (shot blasting and epoxy coating).
Upgrade to fire ratings and the fire alarm system throughout the building.
