This contract included the complete refurbishment of the existing Child, Youth and Family office in Grey Lynn.

The office remained fully operational throughout the works, so the programme was split into five stages and carried out during normal working hours. The staging of the work required careful coordination with the client and project manager, who had a number of separate contractors. As each stage was completed, and once staff were relocated, the next stage was commenced. This meant Canam had a one week downtime period between stages.

Noise and dust were a major concern to the client so secure hoardings were erected for each stage and all noisy works were carried out before 8.30am.

This project was completed on time and the client and staff are delighted with their new office.
