9 Freemans Way Recladding & Betterment

The Freemans Way project involved the remediation of eight mezzanine apartments on top of a two storeyed commercial building, which also comprised of garages. Canam actively collaborated with the architect throughout the design phase, ensuring the most suitable design and detail solution.
Alongside the common issues of the required fire and structural remedial works, this project included some unexpected upgrades to the existing steel roof structure.
Canam managed the design changes and documentation to meet council requirements; also managing inspections with the required documentation.
This project was finished within budget and to a high standard, despite there having been a 9 month time loss for a major building consent amendment.
